The Elk City News ELK CITY SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 2026 • 11 Seniors Morgan Miller and Aiden Muse named March Rotary Students of the Month! 7th & 8th grade bands competed March 3rd. Both groups received straight 1’s (superior ratings) on stage and in sight reading. They both earned the outstanding achievement award, the highest ranking a middle school band can get in the state of Oklahoma. Great job, Elks! ELKS Academy students wrapped up their Housing unit for Life Skills this week. Stu- dents spent three days learning about renting and purchasing a home. Students first deter- mine the things they most desired in a home as well as completing a rental application. Stu- dents toured three properties and were able to experience that process of seeing a potential home to purchase. We’d like to thank Jo Edigar, Stefanie Edney and Rhonda Jordan from RE/ MAX taking time to talk to the students. We ap- preciate our community partners who assist our students in expanding their knowledge of real world needs they will experience after high school. We want to wish you a great season! We hope each of you have a great season! We hope you have Elk City Nursing Home a great 301 N. Garrett, Elk City 580-225-2811 580.243.0466 year! *UHDW3ODLQV 1DWLRQDO%DQN 2017 W. Third | 1300 S.
