The county officers met for their quarterly officer meeting. The commissioners thanked all the officers for their participation in the meetings. Lonnie Risenhoover, Emergency Mgmt Director, updated the Board on the elevator outage. The outage was caused by a lightning strike, and a TK Elevator technician was here on the 19th and said it caused the outage and sent the motherboard for repair/replacement. This will take about 10-15 days to return and install. Jonathan Beck, Assessor, discussed the seal he created as the “Official County Seal” and the same seal for each office. We are transitioning to an official county seal that will meet the required 2027 ADA compliance. These new seals will match across the County Offices and include black-and-white and color versions. The design has been approved with consideration of ease of creating both stamps and embossed presses while maintaining detail without overcrowding. This will be an item on an upcoming agenda for approval and will become effective January 1, 2027. All officers and department heads attended the Quarterly Risk Assessment meeting. Jenny Drury, Treasurer, said she is implementing higher security by keeping the inside office door locked at all times. Jonathan Beck, Assessor, said he spoke with Rod Tieszen, a Representative with Guardian Security, about implementing a security system like the courthouse has on the back doors of the annex building. Donna Howell, Court Clerk, discussed that after installing the security window on the front counter of her office, the ceiling fan had to be taken down to install the glass. The ceiling vents were removed, and now there is no airflow at the counter. The Commissioners will request a quote(s) to install a fan and vents in the foyer of the Court Clerk’s main office. The County-wide Internal Controls checklist of items that were discussed under Risk Assessments were #1, #5, #8, $10, #17, #18, #19 under Information and Communication, #1, under Monitoring, #4, and #5 Old Business – None New Business - None Tate Finnell moved to adjourn.
