INSIDE Have We hope Fun This You Have Season! A Fantastic Year! Ave 316 N Eastern SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2025 Weekend Edition PEO, Chapter GX Raising Money for Pat Sprowls Memorial Scholarship By Sheryl Ponce Each year Chapter GX of PEO presents a scholar- ship to a senior girl in the name of the late Pat Sprowls. They are currently selling opportunities to win a quilt that has been donated by Elk City’s Nan Shiblom. She pieced the 71 x 79 heirloom quality quilt, while Julie Hartness of Quality Quilting, LLC, quilted the piece. Pat Sprowls dedicated her time to the chapter, as well as to the Elk City community. She spent years work- ing as the librarian of the Elk City Carnegie Library and volunteered her talents to her church. This is one way the GX chapter can honor her memory and help a young lady pursue her educational career. The tickets are $10 each, six tickets for $50, or 13 tickets for $100. They may be purchased from any member of the chapter, which include Shiblom, Sher- yl Ponce, Misty Fairchild, Cheryl Firth, Judy Haught, Glenda Ivins, DeAun Ivester, Cathy Lewis, Marsha Mc- Comas, Helen Nayfa, Lisa Nowlin, Joyce Roberts, Susie Thurmond, or Cindy Wood.
