When their chil- dren were little, “Granny,” Marie Cox always came along for trips. They drove to Sapulpa and even as far as Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, with Granny refereeing kid-squabbles from the middle of the backseat - The most memorable trip Joe and Jan ever took was to Germany, to visit Scott and daughter, Stephanie Ellis. They have happy recollec- tions of visiting Paris and the Eiffel tower, and buying a cuckoo clock in Bavaria, Joe and Jan are retired now. Before she retired, Jan worked asa nurses aide at Elk City Community Hospital and as a paraprofessional for Elk City Public Schools. They are the proud grandparents of Cade Ellis, Blake Miller, Morgan Miller, Parker Miller, and Andi Miller. Andi says she loves going to Nana and Grandad'’s to paint, color, and swing on the front porch, Cade has learned to cook from Nana, and he’s their “tech guy”. Future plans for the Millers include watching their grandchildren grow and change, and spending lots of time together.
